If any of you are college students and addicted to Chatroulette, you might want to give RandomDorm a try. The new site, which was created by web entrepreneur Josh Weinstein, connects college students with different college students, and hopefully cuts down on some of the gratuitous cock-shots you find on Chatroulette.
The idea was to create more of a community while still allowing for random chatting. To connect to the site, users must have a .edu email address. But the email address doesn't show up in the chat windows -- the experience is just as anonymous as Chatroulette, with each partner appearing as "you" to the other person (it's "stranger" with Chatroulette).
So far, the site doesn't have many users, but give it time. With the restrictions, it's doubtful that RandomDorm will ever be as big as Chatroulette, but it's an interesting concept, anyway.
